“Staying active through the later stages of your pregnancy keeps your baby’s growth and development on track.”

Stacy T. Sims

Listen! If you are pregnant, losing weight is not an option but to maintain a healthy weight—that’s for sure. You’re not here to sit around and let things slide. You’re raising children. And that means taking care of yourself every day, getting up, moving around, and keeping your body healthy. There are no exceptions. Your health and the health of your baby depends on your actions now.

To do this, exercise and eat well. You can create an exercise routine that you can do during pregnancy by using the guidelines I lay out for you below.

1. Talk to Your Doctor

Before starting to exercise, you must talk to your doctor first. If you are at high risk of miscarriage, some physical activity will be restricted.

If your pregnancy is healthy, you can exercise as many times as you want if it has been done before. Especially for the first few months, your doctor will tell you things to avoid and whether you’re ready to start exercising.

2. Exercise to Avoid
  • Strenuous exercise.
  • Has a high impact on the body.
  • Jumping and bouncing can also be dangerous too.

These activities can lead to problems that might not occur otherwise.

3. Find Classes for Pregnant Women

There are many exercise classes specifically for pregnant women. You can try:

  • Yoga.
  • Water aerobics.
  • Cycling classes.
  • And even general aerobics.

These classes teach you how to exercise safely. And you will be exercising with other pregnant women.

4. Go for a Walk.

Walking is a great way to stay healthy during pregnancy as some say, it can help make your childbirth easier, especially in the past 2-3 months. Walking can also help your baby get to the right place for birth.

5. Try Swimming

It must feel uncomfortable in the last trimester. So swimming might be your good choice.

  • Water makes you feel lighter.
  • Promotes good health.
  • Also helps relax your muscles while exercising.
6. Watch Your Balance

Remember that your balance changes during pregnancy. This has been especially true over the past few months. So, avoid activities that require good balance. This is so that you don’t fall and hurt yourself or your baby.

7. Listen to Your Body

If any exercise causes you pain or discomfort:

  • Stop immediately.
  • Your body or your baby is trying to tell you something.

If you have contractions:

  • Stop drinking water, and
  • Lie on your right side for an hour.

Otherwise, call your doctor if the pain persists.

Take Action
  1. Talk to your doctor today.
  2. Find out what exercises are safe for you, and start tomorrow.
  3. No more waiting.
  4. Your health and your baby’s future are on the line.
  5. Get busy now!

Wrap Up!

To stay healthy and strong during pregnancy will not be easy for you. But it will be worth it. But making the right choices can help you avoid pregnancy problems like diabetes or being overweight. You are in control. Don’t wait until problems arise. Be proactive. Eat the right foods and listen to your body.

So talk to your doctor today and start exercising tomorrow.

Did You Know...

“Have you ever wondered how your email gets to your family/friends on the other side so fast? It’s all thanks to over 500 undersea cables buried deep in the ocean! These cables carry over 99% of international data traffic. The fastest one, called Amitié, can take a whopping 400 terabytes of data per second. That’s the equivalent of 409,600,000 eBooks!

If you’ve got about 10 minutes available, you might find this long read quite interesting.”

Tech-Tip 101 INSIDER SECRET:

Your Quiet Time Without Interruption

“If your family or friends group chat keeps buzzing you when you’re trying to read or relax, you can mute it so you don’t get any alerts. On an iPhone, open Messages, Swipe Left in the chat and tap Hide Alerts. On Android, open the convo/chat, tap the three dots in the top right corner, select Group Details, then Notifications and select Silent. Now you can enjoy your quiet time without interruption!”

Be on the Alert!

“Here’s a very short but shocking real-life story I want to share with you:

The husband’s computer was hacked. The wife received a link to PayPal and opened it. The hacker then convinced her husband to give him access to his computer. The end result is that the hacker stole $450,000, cleaned out his IRA account, sold his trading account and then disappeared forever. This is so brutal and my heart goes out to this poor gentleman and his family.

If you have been a victim in the past, there are a few important things you should do:

  1. First, you should completely reset your computer to get rid of any hacker stuff.
  2. Then change all your passwords, and make sure they’re strong and different for each account.
  3. Turn on Two-Factor Authentication wherever you can, for extra security.
  4. You should also get antivirus software to help stop hackers in the future.

If you live in the US, report the hack to the police and the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center so they can try to catch the thief and stop them from doing it again.

Or, if you live outside the US, do the same by reporting it to your country’s local police/authority and their website.

Be prepared!

Best,

R Bismarck
